Living Room Concert Changes Lives

Tom and Ruth-Anne Renaud have hosted a handful of house concerts over the years, all featuring musician Edie Carey. Most recently, they hosted a house-show fundraiser for the Wrigley Field Road Tour - 100 mile bike ride to benefit World Bicycle Relief and the Chicago Cubs Charities.
On July 12, the Renauds’ home was filled with music and friends, all for a great cause! Over 50 friends and 19 sponsors contributed to the house concert fundraiser for World Bicycle Relief and Chicago Cubs Charities. The event raised over $5,800 and is still bringing in donations. This will provide 43 bikes into the hands of girls student, healthcare workers, and entrepreneurs in rural Africa.
The event was also supported by several neighborhood businesses who contributed donations toward bicycles, great raffle prizes, food and drink for the evening,
Ruth-Anne and Tom will continue their training for the 100-mile Wrigley Field Road Tour on August 19, and will focus on their individual fundraising efforts. Combined with the money raised from the house-concert fundraiser, they hope to make a substantial impact on the lives of others through The Power of Bicycles. Thanks to everyone who participated in the event and to all those who share in the Renaud's journey to support World Bicycle Relief!
