Team World Bicycle Relief: Manny Glisson

Manny Glisson is the newest member of Team World Bicycle Relief. Hailing from Napa, California, Manny has set a fundraising goal of $1,000 to support World Bicycle Relief. One of Manny’s goals for 2012  was a personal Tour de France challenge, in which he rode half the miles of the Tour during the same three week period. Very impressive!

Manny’s past travels to Africa have given him insight into the need for simple, sustainable transportation. He notes, “Giving someone in rural Africa a bike to ride to school or to market can completely transform their life. I am grateful to be able to help people experience both the freedom of movement and the joy of riding.”

Manny loves cycling so much that he refers to the seat of a bicycle as his “happy place”. He explains, “In many ways, bicycles have transformed my life. They have kept me young and fit. They have taken me all over the world. They have let me leave the humdrum behind and experience both joy and wonder. “

Thank you for your support, Manny, and welcome to Team World Bicycle Relief!
