#500,000 Thanks to YOU!

We're at Bar Union School in Kisumu, Kenya, where - thanks to your generous support - we're celebrating 500,000 people in need now empowered with Buffalo Bicycles!

Today, World Bicycle Relief is celebrating Damela and the 499,999 others that now have life-changing access to education, healthcare and economic opportunity, thanks to YOU! Your incredible, dedicated support has made this all possible.

For 15-year-old Damela Achieng’ Owuor, a student at Bar Union Secondary School in Kisumu, Kenya, today is a new beginning. When she woke up this morning, Damela had a challenging 5-km walk to overcome in order to reach school. Thanks to you, when she returns home today, that journey will take a fraction of the time as she pedals on her new bike. And each day that follows will bring Damela the opportunity to get an education, to rise up, and pursue her dreams.

Damela, along with 101 of her classmates at Bar Union, received bikes today, marking a historic 500,000 Buffalo Bicycles in the hands of people in need around the world. They also were cheered on by your powerful messages of hope handwritten on ribbons.

Enjoy your exclusive look at our bike #500,000 celebration with the students at Bar Union school, thanks to your generous support.

It gives me immense joy to see how these bicycles are literally impacting people's lives and creating new opportunities.
