If you’ve followed our blog, you’ve heard about Griffin (pictured on the right in the WBR shirt). For the past two and a half years, his name has been featured among the headlines of our posts about our amazing supporters. This month, Griffin is at it again with a local schools tour–on his bike, as always–to raise money and tell other kids about WBR.
On Monday, June 2, Griffin spent his day commuting by bike to and from various schools in Addison County, Vermont to share the WBR story and tell why he’s committed to bike commuting. He had quite a demanding schedule that amazed a number of students who watched him pull into their school on his two wheels.
In one school day, Griffin rode a total of 30.5 miles. He departed from his home and headed to his own school first, then to three others before finishing his day back at school (returning just in time for band practice) and finally biking home. Later, he received thank you cards from many students expressing how they were inspired by Griffin’s mission.
Griffin has raised over $5,000 for World Bicycle Relief and is now inspiring his classmates and other students to ride their bikes too! Amazing work, Griffin! Thank you for your years of support and all you do to share the Power of Bicycles!
