Moneycorp London to Paris ride

On July 20, a team of ambitious cyclists set out from London’s famous Herne Hill Velodrome to begin a 3-day, 325-mile epic adventure to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Billed as “a serious test for everyone involved” the ride delivered not only huge miles, butt-busting cobbles and driving rain, but also amazing moments, camaraderie and a fantastic story of a diverse group of cyclists brought together to raise money for World Bicycle Relief. The Moneycorp London to Paris ride raised a massive £22,530.

Celebrating a milestone birthday

WBR champion and former Africa Rides participant Nancy McDaniel raised funds for more than 130 bicycles in celebration of her 70th birthday. Her original goal started at $12,000, but her community impressed by going above and beyond and raising over $20,000 in her honor!

Books, Bikes and Triathletes

Sharing WBR with Your Customers

Speed and Sprocket Cycle Works owner Sean Condon drew his customers even closer to WBR by hosting a Customer Appreciation Holiday Party at a local brewery that included a raffle with proceeds going to WBR. The customers knew their money was going to a good cause, and they had a chance to win some great items – a win-win for all!

An Opportunity to Change Lives

Baking Up a Storm

Baker Bill Middeke was at it again with his annual church bake sale to benefit World Bicycle Relief. This year, he made 600 cinnamon rolls, 140 dinner rolls, 124 hot cross buns and 125 loaves of bread. When the flour and cinnamon settled, he had $1,659.25 in the till.
