When Henrietta Cuninghame decided to ride 100km for World Bicycle Relief, she hoped to raise enough money for three bicycles.
Instead, the 11-year-old from England far surpassed her goal. She collected more than £2,300 pounds—enough for 25 Buffalo Bicycles to help mobilize students in rural Africa.
On July 2, Henrietta rode 100km as part of Bike Bath, a ride through the Bath, England, countryside. In just over 5 hours, she climbed more than 3,100 feet in hills!
Henrietta loved that by doing something she enjoys, she could help change the lives of other children for the better.
And with the generosity of friends and strangers, by which she was amazed, Henrietta made a huge impact by completing her ride.
So many of World Bicycle Relief’s biggest supporters are children. We are always impressed by their dedication and creativity in spreading The Power of Bicycles.
Thank you, Henrietta! We’re in awe of your incredible efforts and hard work to help empower other children with a life-changing transportation option.
