What were you doing before working with World Bicycle Relief?
Before working at WBR, I was the controller for a conglomerate of 42 individual companies including Affiliation, Service, Mechanical, Financing, and Insurance servicing the needs of the taxi industry.
What drew you to World Bicycle Relief?
I was drawn to WBR by the work of the organization and the challenging opportunity.
What is a typical day of work like for you?
I have the typical accounting office job. I can be found any given Monday through Friday at my desk or attending a meeting.
What is the best part of your job?
I enjoy the challenge of different reporting requests and requests for insight into our business. The day to day is great, but the occasional challenge is what keeps it interesting.
What is the most difficult part of your job?
Reliable communication rises to the top. It is definitely a challenge to work with multiple offices, across time zones and different languages, and each with a slightly different reporting structure.
What is your dream for the organization?
I hope the organization continues to mobilize people through the Power of Bicycles until there is no longer a needÛ_and then we switch to the next need.
What is one random fact about you that no one on staff knows?
I make a MEAN coconut brown beer.
