Empower the Next Generation

With bicycles, students in Zambia are overcoming the barrier of distance. This July, you can help even more.

Why More Bikes
for Zambia?

To date, we’ve delivered more than 50,000 bicycles to Zambian students. With hundreds of thousands of children not in school, the need is still immense. Together, we can provide more bicycles and brighter futures for the next generation of Zambian students.

The Next Generation

The Dreams You Make Possible

Our bicycles benefit the students who receive them and their families – often for generations to come. Hear the dreams of students mobilized by supporters like you and see how you can leave a lasting legacy for Zambia’s next generation.

“My sister Emilda got a bicycle and passed it on to me. I use my bicycle every day to come to school.”

When Loveness received her Buffalo Bicycle in 2009, she had been walking for 4 hours every day just to get to school. Her Buffalo Bicycle cut her commute in half and enabled her to continue her education.

Today, after graduating secondary school in 2012, Loveness is working hard to save money for nursing school. “I always want to be helping people,” she says.

At 13 years old, Priscah received a bicycle to help her get to class at Chikanda Basic School in Central Zambia. Before then, she would walk for four hours a day to and from school.

With improved sleep and more energy, Priscah graduated primary school with dreams of becoming a doctor. Priscah’s parents have since purchased a second Buffalo Bicycle so Priscah’s siblings can cycle to school, and the family also uses the bicycles to transport produce to market.

Riding Since 2012

Before receiving her Buffalo Bicycle, Belita would wake up at 5am each morning to make the trek to her school. Even skipping morning chores didn’t always help her arrive to school on time, and Belita dreaded the punishing slap on her wrist in front of the whole class on days when she was late.

Just one year later, Belita was riding to school and arriving on time every day, helping her grandmother with chores, and thriving in school - so much so that she planned to attend nurses’ training college!
