The Professional Bike Mechanics Association has over 7,000 members dedicated to promoting, advocating, and developing professional bike mechanics. James Stanfill is the president of this group. In addition to supporting bike mechanics at the highest pro level, he recognizes the importance of supporting mechanics abroad that maintain bikes used to meet riders’ basic needs. Today, we thank the Professional Bicycle Mechanics Association for supporting World Bicycle Relief through the Mechanics for Mechanics program this #GivingTuesday. (New to #GivingTuesday? It’s a global day of charitable giving that falls on Tuesday, November 29th this year. Read more about it!)
“The PBMA is focused on promotion, advocacy, and development for mechanics. The training you provide fits that model very well. Though it isn’t local it still fits into our overall mission and goals. We purposefully didn’t indicate our organization as being U.S. only.” – James Stanfill
“Supporting World Bicycle Relief is an honor. I’ve known Mike Spilker more than 10 years and when he started the Mechanics for Mechanics I thought it was awesome. When we began the Professional Bicycle Mechanics Association I knew we needed to give back and help the community in some way. Supporting WBR’s Mechanics for Mechanics seemed like a perfect fit.” – James Stanfill, President, Professional Bicycle Mechanics Association
