“I use the bicycle to get to school, and when not in use for that, my family uses it to fetch water, gather firewood, go shopping in town, and run errands,” says Luis, who lives in the desert community of La Guajira, Colombia.

“This bicycle is joy. It is life,” says Luis. “I really enjoy riding it. I know we must take good care of it because it keeps me motivated to move forward.”
