Meet our Australian Trustees

DAVID EVANS – Board Member

David has been the OE Sales Manager for SRAM Australia for the last 6 years and has worked within the cycling industry for 15 years. Also the chairman of the BIA (Bicycles Industry Australia) Board, David is a passionate cyclist racing regularly on the road and in MTB races. David’s love of bicycles and his passion for helping others is an ideal fit with the WBR ethos.

ANTHONY SHIPPARD – Board Member

Anthony was born and schooled in London but spent a significant amount of time growing up in Africa before ultimately settling in Australia. A lifetime competitive athlete and cyclist, Anthony continues to race his bike as often as is possible, whilst balancing the demands of his successful career in the banking and financial services industry and spending time with his wife and dog (a retired greyhound, another charity that Anthony is passionate about).

BEN WALSH – Board Member

Ben is Managing Director and CEO of Mercer Australia and New Zealand with over twenty years’ experience as a Director on company Boards.  He is also an avid amateur cyclist and in World Bicycle Relief is marrying his passion for cycling and strong governance with community and giving back.
